PE Written Credit

There may be times when you are not able to participate in Physical Education class. You may be sick, have a short term injury, be away on a field trip or have a music lesson. Since PE is a participation class you will not receive any credit if you do not participate. In order to earn your credit when you are legally excused, you must do one of the following:

* Work out in the Weight Room after school for ½ hour to make up one class period.

* Keep score or manage a tournament schedule during your gym class period.

* Write a one page summary of a health, sport, or fitness article. (handwritten)

* Respond to one of the discussion points on the "What do you think?" page on the left.

For any long term medical excuse from class or any student on Home Teaching, please contact your PE teacher and we will set you up with a long term project to earn your gym grade.

It would be helpful to have a brief discussion with me or any of the PE teachers to make sure you’re on the right track.

You can call my office at 773-8828 or email me at I will be happy to discuss your specific situation.
